Limited funding is available to support worthy 150th projects that incorporate the anniversary or its themes .
Non-student campus groups may request up to $1,000 to support either a new event tied to the 150th or an existing event that will incorporate a 150th theme. Members of the 150th implementation committee will evaluate requests.
Student groups may request up to $500 to support either a new event tied to the 150th or an existing event that will incorporate a 150th theme. Student requests will be evaluated by a student-led committee.
All requests will be evaluated based on the number of people reached and how the 150th will be incorporated. Please note that funds are not intended to replace funding for existing events, but to enhance events so they can incorporate the 150th or to support new, 150th -specific events and activities.
Please be very specific about how your request ties to and promotes the anniversary or its themes. Decisions are made at the sole discretion of the funding committee and all decisions will be final.
Any approved funding will be distributed via reimbursement according to university procurement guidelines. To receive reimbursement, the sponsoring unit will be required to submit a short synopsis of the event or activity and an invoice detailing expenses with copies of receipts.
Please note that, in addition to any funding approved via this selection process, each college will receive $1,000 to use for a guest speaker, exhibit or other event tied to the anniversary. The funding committee may choose to refer college-focused requests to deans to consider funding out of their allocation.
Funding requests will be accepted throughout the year, although most funding will be available beginning July 1, 2019.
